Over the last few years, I have been bemoaning the crappy movies Hollywood insists on putting out. Unless it was a movie based on a book, the majority of Hollywood's taste run to crap. The Hollywood Reporter wasn't a fan of this movie because they called it cliched...Well, guess what? It's a romcom! There is supposed to be cliches and predictable moments and a happily ever after! That's what makes them fantastic!
This delightful Indie flick was funny, sweet, frustrating, and sigh worthy! It was FABULOUS! In fact, my husband and I were just talking about how much we were starting to prefer indie flicks to mainstream. Maybe because Hollywood always has to have some kind of weird twist on their movies and have forgotten the simplistic joy movies by John Hughes and Gary Marshall brought to the masses once upon a time. Instead, the romcom has been replaced by stoner flicks, horror/violent films, and super hero movies. Don't get me wrong, I can enjoy any of these if they're done right, but I miss falling in love with a few mishaps along the way. I miss the Two Weeks Notice and Pretty Womans.
So, in conclusion, if you haven't watched this yet, it is available on Netflix and Amazon Instant, as well as for sale at most major vendors! Watch it and tell me what you thought!
